Subject: Connector Bridge / Tunnel between Cuffe Parade and Nariman Point ( Driving Time 3 minutes )
On Monday early afternoon May 4, the Federation had a very productive meeting with Shri Eknath Shindeji, Hon DCM, and Minister of Urban Development and Housing.
Meeting lasted about 30 minutes and the Chief Secretary UDC Mr. Aseem Gupta and Principal Secretary were also present, along with DCMs senior team members.
After explaining to him about the current time taken ( 20-30 minutes ) as well as future prospects for Redevelopment which is dependent on this Connector and which will be beneficial to all stakeholders including Government, the DCM was convinced that there is a need to have this Bridge / Tunnel.
Shindeji has ordered a feasibility study to be done in 2 weeks and instructed the Chief Secretary with help of Federation to make a preliminary report.
After this is done, there will be a follow up meeting with DCM Shindeji.
